SplashMoney/iOS8

Patrick Hope-Falkner Oct 16, 2014 11:51AM PDT

It is now 2+ weeks since you issued a non-committal holding response saying you were investigating the compatibility issues, and meanwhile were taking the mobile App off the Apple App Store.

That does not sound good. Like others, I seriously hope you will continue to support SplashMoney on iPhone. I have been a user forever and the prospect of switching is daunting.

Please can we have an update?

Thanks for contacting us. We have decided to update SplashMoney for iOS, but it will take some time to complete the project and get it approved by Apple.

Thank you, Patrick for keeping on this. Like you, I keep monitoring this area hoping to get a more definitive timeframe for this long overdue update to SplashMoney. I feel that if we don't keep pushing/ reminding SplashData, this will very much go into back burner land. Justin, we are counting on you for news (hopefully good) shortly!

Good news, thank you Justin, very reassuring. By the looks of things, it isn't only me! Thanks for the support Ita, I am sure we won't have to keep nagging (much)! I will continue to limp along with the desktop version only.

Thanks, Justin. I have used SplashMoney for ages and wouldn't like to stop without warning. Btw, if you ever decide to discontinue SplashMoney, please inform us users in advance, so that we can take the appropriate action in time.

And I hope that the "it will take some time to complete the project" statement is a matter of days, not weeks.

I’ll be completely honest – it will be weeks. I don’t know exactly how long it will take the developer to fix all the issues, go through testing and feedback, another round of fixing, then submission to Apple, then wait for them to approve it.

Great news! I've been looking at other apps and nothing compares.

Hopefully it will be soon updated. I use it for years and I have not found a better one. It's a shame you do not actualize more frequently.

I'm getting antsy too. I was wondering didn't your developers see this coming or was the release of iOS8 an Apple surprise?

I don't really care why this hasn't happened yet. I'm just extremely happy to hear that it IS happening. I've been trying to find a new app for a month and a half now and can't stand any of the others out there. This is like Christmas come early to me. Thank you!!

Please, please, please!!! tell me SplashMoney is getting close to being corrected. it is really frustrating! I cannot find another app for desktop or iPhone that comes close to doing as good a job so simply as SplashMoney and I've tried many (and even paid for several) other apps trying to replace it. HURRY!!!

thanks,
lori

It's now Thanksgiving, any news? I've got Splashmoney data on my iphone 4s going back to 2009 (& I've been using Splashmoney since it was on my Treo 650) but I can't access any of it because as previously stated the app is completely unresponsive. Is there any way I can export my data & transfer it to a new working app? If so how?

We have made a lot of progress, but have run into a technical challenge we are working on. Hopefully this week it will be resolved.
