Questions on SplashID Safe for Teams

Eric Anderson Sep 10, 2014 05:27PM PDT

Looking at purchasing. We have some questions.

What are our recovery options if someone on our team wrongly deletes or changes some data?

Is there a "gatekeeper" function to view changes and allow or deny?

Is there a rollback function to restore mistaken changes, deletions or additions?

What about multi-factor authentication? Is there out-of-band security available, say through a SecureID token, Cellphone text, etc.?

Are there any scenarios where anyone servicing our account can view our data?

Hello there,
Thank you for your interest in our product. Here’s the answers to your questions:

“What are our recovery options if someone on our team wrongly deletes or changes some data?” < there are two recovery options right now: you can export your records from time to time and if someone deletes the wrong record you can import them back. second option is to schedule an automatic database backup (we use ms-sql) and then restore the backup (we do that for our SaaS version).

“Is there a “gatekeeper” function to view changes and allow or deny?" < there is no option to allow or deny changes, but you can track them from the admin panel.

“Is there a rollback function to restore mistaken changes, deletions or additions?” same as recovery options apply here too.

“What about multi-factor authentication? Is there out-of-band security available, say through a SecureID token, Cellphone text, etc.?” currently not. we have this feature in our roadmap for the next major release so definitely there is something comming.

“Are there any scenarios where anyone servicing our account can view our data?” < this is technically not possible. All the records are encrypted using your masterpassword. This means if you lose that password you also lose all of your data. Neither we nor anybody can decrypt the data without the master password.
