Sync between Mac and iPad/iPhone broken

Phil Nolan Jun 21, 2014 01:58AM PDT

I can no longer sync records between iPad/iPhone and the Desktop version (Mac) - syncing does not copy any records marked 'Local Only' from iPad/iPhone to the Mac Desktop version.

The Desktop Sync preferences are set to 'Mobile overwrites Desktop', as I no longer trust the 'synchronise' function, which always either removes all records completely or duplicates all 'Types' and 'Categories', which takes me ages to fix.

I don't wish to sync my records to any cloud service - I just want to use local wireless sync between my Mac and iPhone/iPad.

I have even removed all files and folders of the desktop application and reinstalled, to no avail.

iPad version is 7.2.5, Desktop version is 7.2.2 (780w).

Please advise.

Thanks for contacting us. Local Only records don’t sync. That feature works not only on cloud sync but also on WiFi sync. If you are using WiFi sync, none of your data goes to the cloud.

You can mark records Local Only if you don’t wish them to sync between the computer and the device though.

If you uncheck this option, they will start to sync again.
