Desktop & Android tablet

John Au Jun 09, 2014 02:05AM PDT

I am running SplashID 3.04 on a Sony PDA which is coming to the end of its life. I want to upgrade to the current version to run on my Nexus 7 and also my Windows desktop. Do I download SplashID for Android, or for Windows? Will the export file from 3.04 be compatible with the current version?

Thanks for contacting us. Kudos on keeping your Clie running all these years!

Version 3.05 is really old, so I cannot say with any certainty that a vID export file from there will import properly in version 7.

You may need to upgrade to version 4 or 5 first

Then export a vID from there, then quit and install version 7 desktop:

Then set that up and import your vID file.

Then install the Android version and do a sync – either automatic cloud sync or local WiFi sync. I highly recommend trying the cloud sync first.
