Restore Backup file isn't working

Cleaned out my database and need to restore the backup file. Instructions I have found do not work.
Double click backup file and I get an error message that windows does not know what to do with it.
Tried to find "file" menu to click restore but I cannot find it any where.

Help!! My data is gone on all devices.

Thanks for contacting us. Click the App menu (the lock icon in the top left), then click Import > vID (folder or file, depending on what kind of VID archive you have), then select the file from the explorer.
