Using SplashID with apps

Joyce Kostro May 08, 2014 02:15PM PDT

New to SplashID on the recommendation of my company. I have loaded some passwords/url's, but I'm curious - can this work with apps already loaded on my phone - e.g., I have an Amazon app that I use vs using the URL for Amazon. Only solution I can see is to copy the password in SplashID and paste it to the password in my app?

Thanks for contacting us. No, SplashID Safe can only autofill web logins from within the SplashID app window at this time. We’re investigating the realm of possibilities for future updates, but that’s not currently feasible.

So the way to use SplashID in this scenario is to use the copy buttons in the record details, then use the app switcher (double-press home button) to switch to the app you need to login on, then paste. Repeat if both username and password are needed.

Sorry. SplashID cannot auto fill app logins on Windows phone.
