B Brown May 02, 2014 05:25PM PDT

how do I stop the Win desktop version from opening to the Pattern Login option? I want to enter text and I'm tired of clicking to get that option.

Thanks for contacting us. Please update to the latest version first:

Download latest Windows desktop installer

Then on login, click the Keyboard button to switch back (semi-permanently) to text login entry.

I have the same problem as B. Brown. I am using the Win desktop version and I don't know what to do with the Pattern Login. Where are instructions for that? If I follow Justin Cepelak's directions to switch back to text login entry, it only switches temporarily. Is there a way to request text login entry permanently?

Hi Lora,

Thanks for contacting us. If you update to the latest version of SplashID Desktop, it should not be a temporary switch back to text entry when you make the change. That bug was fixed:
