I have accumulated lots of entries (>3000) over the years. I would love to be able to pare them down and archive some with a different user database. Using 'Categories' is not an option as the reason I need to pare down my entries is the web client (and sync) chokes on them.
Logging in as a different user as suggested in the KB article referenced above requires payment for another subscription, as far as I know.
Does anyone have another solution? The only one I can think of is to manage my user DB with an older version of SplashID. The biggest benefits to 7.2 cloud services to me are:
- cloud backup
- sync among devices
If the webclient is going to choke on my 3000+ entries, I lose both of these benefits if I have to revert to the 'No sync enabled' option or use an older version of SplashID.
Thanks for contacting us.
With the release of SplashID Safe version 7.2, Cloud Services users can now designate any record in SplashID Safe as Local Only. This means the record stays local on the device selected and does not sync to the cloud server. If the selected record is already on the web app or on any other devices running SplashID Safe, it will get deleted from those apps. At any point, you can undo the Local Only setting, and the record will sync back to the cloud server and appear on all your devices.
Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks – these are great suggestions.
I shall pass them on.
