Update for next iOS?

Michelle Jun 06, 2017 12:13AM PDT

When/will you be updating Splash shopper so it is compatible with the next iOS update? I keep getting the message on my iPhone that it will not work on the next up update.

Hello, everybody reading this!
I have good news from last week – as of Sept 14 2017, Thursday. There was word from management and they said:
Please note it is still our goal to update SplashShopper and SplashMoney iOS app for iOS 11 compatibility if possible. We have developers looking at it.
Please note there is no release date set yet.

Thanks for contacting us.
Please note we are aware of the issue – when iOS 11 comes, likely this fall, SplashShopper iOS app will stop working, unless we fix it until then.
No decision has been made on this for now. We can let you know once a decision is made, one way or another.
Please note you are not the only person asking about this, so we will certainly note your interest.
For us to be able to notify you, please also submit a support case for this, here:

Please note you can keep using the iOS app just fine for now, as iOS 11 is at least several months away.

Please tell me if you need anything else, or have any other questions or comments.

Please do update SplashShopper to be compatible with iOS 11. SplashShopper, while not necessarily the most dramatic or visually stunning, is by far the most customizable and useful list making app that I have used... and I have spent much on many. I have been using SplashData products since the days of Palm Pilot and would sincerely miss them. Thank you.

Please do update Splash Shopper! I also use your apps since Palm Pilot days and could not find any better list manager.

If SplashShopper isn't upgraded by the time iOS 11 is out I won't be upgrading to it. I would even pay money for an iOS 11-compatible version. Like many people I've been using it since I had a Palm Treo, which is over ten years, and it just seems to be the best shopping list manager out there.

Really glad (and relieved!) that SplashShopper iOS app will be upgraded for the upcoming iOS 11. It's the best list management app available. I'm surprised it's not better promoted by the developers.

That's excellent news!

Like the others here, I've used it since Palm days, and haven't found anything better for my purposes, despite recent research.

The only niggling bug I encounter is when opening a list it defaults to Needed items (which is what I've set it to) but the selector button is set to All. Tapping Needed, All, Needed brings everything back in sync.

Like many other users I have been using SplashShopper for more that 10 years.
This is a great app. The simple idea that each item can have a single category and multiple stores associated with it, seems unique to the application and very powerful. I am unable to find replacement to it.

Please keep the SplashShopper alive.

I am sure you have your reason not to invest anymore in SplashShopper, but for its users it is really a tough situation.

if you do not want to invest in the product any more, as a curtasy to your long term loyal customers you could at least to spell it out and , hopefully, suggest alternative app(s).

I'M HAPPY AS I FOUND THE ANSWER I WANTED THAT YOU WILL UPDATE SHOPPER. I'LL IMPATIENTLY WAIT. ;)

I've used SplashShopper and SplashID for over 15 years starting with a Palm.
I now have life time license for SplashID.
I quit syncing Shopper with my desktop when I ended up with 3.2 on iPhone and 3.1 on desktop and it no longer worked.

I actually tried to use the iPad version and I think that is when Shopper sync quit working. I'm now getting the popup on my iPhone that says SplashShopper ver. 3.2 will quit working under iOS 11.

I have exported and emailed a copy of Grocery list to myself. It is the only list I use in Shopper. I'd LOVE to be able to sync Shopper desktop with both iPhone and iPad like I do for SplashID.

Hello, Maxine! Thanks for contacting us.
Our 3.1 Desktop app works fine. And can sync fine with both 3.2 iPhone app, and 4.0 iPhone app.
Do you use a Windows PC, or Mac? On PC, 3.1 Desktop app is latest. On Mac, 3.2 is latest.
I can help you sync.
Please submit a support case here with all details and I will help you:

Are 32 bit apps going to be removed from the store? Will Apple kick Splash Shopper out of store until it is fixed?

Nikolai Filipov Sep 13, 2017 12:59PM PDT SplashData Inc Representative

Thanks for contacting us, Timothy!
No, please note they will not be removed.
You will just be not able to use the app on any iOS device that runs iOS 11.
When ran on devices with iOS 10.x or older, our iOS app will keep working.

Please! Please! Add support for iOS 11. I also have been using this app since the Palm days and have many dozens of lists with thousands of items. You have a loyal following who use SplashShopper as well as SplashID so please don't forget about or abandon us.

Thanks!!
