Restoring a backup

Wendy Feb 27, 2015 02:59PM PST

I upgraded to version 8 on my Mac (Mavericks - 10.9.5). I am now on SplashID on the Mac. Now I suddenly have a bunch of old records in addition to the current ones. Basically, I updated a bunch of records about a month ago and now I see the new ones and the old versions both. It's automatically updated my iPhone, but I put my iPad in airplane mode to check it and keep it from being updated.

Anyway, I want to restore an earlier backup. Your instructions on your website say this:

Login to any SplashID 8 client app - iOS, Android, Mac, or Windows - and select the SplashID Backup tab on the side menu.

To restore a backup, select the backup you would like to restore, based on the date and number of records it contains, then click Restore.

But that doesn't do anything. When I select SplashID Backup on the left side menu, it doesn't change anything on the screen. How do I restore the last backup from before I upgraded to version *?

Thanks for contacting us. Is it not working in the Mac app, the iOS app, the web app, or all of the above?

Just seeing that you replied (I was expecting a notification of a reply - didn't realize that I needed to check the support site). Anyway, here's the answer: selecting SplashID Backup does nothing when I do it on the Mac Desktop app (v. Trying that on my iPhone and iPad that function does seem to work.

I think because this is a public question, it’s not coming directly to you via email. I"ll email you directly.
