Splash ID 8 issues and feedback

Sriram Viswanathan Feb 25, 2015 08:15PM PST

Ver 8 was quite painful - upon installing - it didn't import my v7 database. It also would not import the sdb file- only vID files. So, I had to reinstall v7, export as vID to make sure I have the latest version of my database. Reinstalled 8, imported the vID file. However, it appears that it saves the file in only the default location (documents\splashdata\email).
Is there a way to change the location of the splashID database and backup location as in version 7 ? It appears that v8 went backwards in functionality at the cost of improving GUI!!! I prefer to save my splashID file and other key documents etc in a central folder within My Documents (no, I do not consider My Documents as a central enough folder). This way, I can just backup this one folder to have access to the most important documents. The My documents folder is usually littered with every software's folder.
With splash ID version 7 - this was very convenient. Now that feature appears to be non-existent in version 8 (unless it is present and I don't know how to access it).
Please bring back the option to change the default sdb and backup location.
