i get frustrated that my splashid on my ipad stays open for only a couple minutes. It's annoying to have log in over and over again. is there a way to keep open for longer periods of time?

Yes!

Go to the side menu > Settings > Set Timeout.

You can set it from Immediately to 30 minutes.
