I wiped my computer and installed OS X 10.10.2. I forgot that I needed to back up my passwords. I can view the application in my Time Machine application, but I cannot open it or restore it. Any ideas on how I can retrieve these passwords?
Thanks for contacting us. It’s not only the app you need to restore, but the data folder:
The app would need to be restored as we’ll, or you can download a new installer. If you are using the Adobe customized version, get it from your intranet.
You need to go to that folder on the local drive first, then enter time machine. The user library is hidden on recent Mac OS versions, so you need to:
1) open the finder
2) click the Go menu, then Go to Folder
3) copy and paste in: ~/Library/SplashID/
4) hit enter
5) now click the Time Machine menu bar icon and choose Enter Time Machine
Great! Thanks for letting me know.
