Strang email about the "SplashID Safe" upgrade received

Michael Wachs Mar 06, 2015 03:46AM PST

Dear Sirs,

I've never bought/subscribed the Pro version.
Why I received the email with the subject "Congratulations! You've been upgraded to Pro!"?

Kind Regards,

With version 8, is there a free wifi version or is everyone required to move to a paid option?

Thank you

Thanks for contacting us. With SplashID Safe 8, any kind of sync – WiFi or cloud – requires a SplashID Pro license.

Pro features include – automatic cloud backup, security dashboard, secure sharing, and more.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I have not purchased nor want Splashid pro, why am I being locked out of my blackberry with your request to upgrade to it and payments. I have Splashid safe and do not want pro. Please remove this change so I can use my Splashid safe on my blackberry.
Thank you245

Hi Derek,

SplashID Pro is just the license to use SplashID on more than one device or sync. Since your BlackBerry is running an older version, that may have been an issue. I have extended your SplashID Pro trial period for awhile so it should work fine now.

Hi Justin,

Is it possible to continue using the "No Sync Enabled" option when the free Pro trial expires? I've been using SplashID for years (since the PalmOS days) in stand-alone mode and hence feel very frustrated by this turn of events.

Yes, you can use No Sync on one platform for free. I would recommend making that change in sync method before you expire, however, in case it prevents the change once you are expired.
