SplashID Safe requests permission to access your contacts data solely for the purpose of giving you your own contact list when using the Share records tool. We do not collect any data from you, but SplashID needs permission to access your contacts for the convenience of this feature.
Camera access is required so that you can take a photo of a card such as credit card and attach that to one of your SplashID records as an attachment.
Similarly, photos access is necessary for you to be able to attach existing files (images/documents/etc) to your SplashID records. 
And the phone calls permission is just there so you can dial a phone number from inside our app.

(Note: The function to scan a credit card and attach it, or attach a photo/file is currently limited to 1 file attached per record and up to 1 MB max per file attached.)
