How do I downgrade to SplashID Safe version 6.2?

Last Updated: Nov 12, 2014 04:08AM PST

1. Export a backup of your data from at least one of your SplashID Safe apps.

Windows: App menu > Backup

Mac: File menu > Backup

iPhone/iPad > Settings > Send Records

Android > Settings > Backup

2. Uninstall version 7 from the device or computer. On Windows, you can do this by going to the program folder and clicking the Uninstaller file:

C:\Program Files\SplashData\SplashID Safe\unist.exe

On all other platforms, just delete the app in the usual way.

3. Download and install version 6.2:

Windows: SplashID-Safe-6.2.exe

Mac: SplashID-Safe-6.2.dmg

Android: http://splashdata.com/sid62an

*You will also want to disable auto-updates on Android: Open the Google Play store, tap Menu, Settings, and uncheck auto-update apps.

iOS: We have no way of providing a download for iOS unfortunately. If you have a backup copy of SplashID 6.2 on your computer, you can reinstall this on the device by deleting version 7 from the device, connecting it to the computer, then using iTunes to reinstall the older version on the device.

4. Once you've got it up and running on the desktop, sync with your mobile device.
